End of Life Planning

Dealing with the affairs of a loved one who has passed away can often feel overwhelming. CABWA’s My Gift of Preparation and Bereavement Guide books have been developed to help make this process a little easier by providing comprehensive, clear, and practical guidance for managing a loved one’s affairs.

My Gift of Preparation

The My Gift of Preparation book is designed to be completed by an individual before their death to help ease any practical worries, providing peace of mind when it is needed most. It allows individuals to record important personal information and wishes for their loved ones. This includes a range of information, from end of life preferences and cultural or religious wishes to account details and the location of important documents. While it is intended to be a companion to the Bereavement Guide, it is not a legal document.

Bereavement Guide

Our Bereavement Guide is designed to support families and loved ones after a death, outlining crucial steps involved in managing a deceased person’s affairs. It provides clear, practical information on immediate actions to take, funeral arrangements, understanding Wills and estate administration, notifying relevant organisations and navigating each stage of the bereavement process. Used alongside the My Gift of Preparation book, it helps make what can be an overwhelming time more manageable.

While the My Gift of Preparation and Bereavement Guide are designed to complement one another, the My Gift of Preparation can also be purchased individually. Ideal for those planning ahead, it helps record important information, wishes and document locations to provide clarity and peace of mind for loved ones.
