In the Netherlands, it is a well-known practice for every police car to be equipped with a “trauma bear,” a small soft toy bear given to children who have experienced trauma, accidents, or involved in distressing situations. This compassionate initiative helps calm children, provides emotional support, and eases their anxiety during challenging moments.

We have taken inspiration from that idea and have introduced Kinta the Kare-a-roo. Kinta is not here just for cuddles. Kinta will bring comfort to children (and adults) who visit our Branches during difficult times. Kinta can also help spark gentle, important conversations around family law, Wills and planning the future.
